AU Meme: Werewolves at Downton (Redone)
It was in his blood - something she couldn’t control, or stop, or even weaken - and that frightened her more than anything.
She remembered hearing her grandmother, in the old woman’s final hours, going on and on about how her family’s blood had been poisoned, how they should never have left their ‘home land’ - lamenting for this great imaginary power that had long since been diluted from the bloodline. Aged six she was more worried about her grandmother’s physical welfare than her mental, but on reflection the half-screamed stories, if you could call them that, explained a great deal about herself and her siblings’ bat like-hearing and apparent physical prowess; they especially explained what was happening to her nephew now.
Not that it was any comfort.
